IKEDA MUSEUM SALON CONCERT VOL. 1
Hello everybody! It's a bit late... but... HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! I wish you all the best.
I spent very a busy but meaningful November and December 2019. I had three different stages then. Two of them were held in Tokyo. My baroque oboe teacher Kayoko invited me to play together at Tokyo Oshiage's authentic Soba restaurant. We played Albinoni's concert for two oboes, Vivaldi's Trio sonata for two oboes, and so on. And one more concert was held in Mito, my home town. The program was as same one as we played at Tokyo's concert.
At the concert, we both played solo pieces too. Geminiani's sonata and Vivaldi's sonata. These concerts were very special for me because they were the first self organized concerts after I came back to Japan!! I found it's interesting that the more I am experienced and know about things, more and more concerns are coming to my mind before I decide to act. I think this is what people say "becoming adult...?" Anyway, I was relieved after I finished all the concerts. Thank you for your big help Kayoko and thank you too to the pianists Hiromi and Mamiko. They are all great musicians.
This year 2020 is special year for me. Many changes and new experiences are waiting for me!! I'm looking forward to go through them. I'll write again!! See you then.
CONCERT AT MITO IKEDA MUSEUM. "ITALIAN BAROQUE"
Flyer of December's family concert
Hello everyone! I have good news! I am announcing my first self-planned concert since I came back to Japan. This time the theme of the concert is "Italian Baroque".
Main pieces are Vivaldi's trio sonata and Albinoni's concerto for two oboes. I invited two great musicians to join me! I'm really looking forward to it.
This is an interesting concert. I decided to serve a lunch buffet and free drinks before the concert. I'm inviting kids under 15 years of age for free. I want to make this concert a relaxed salon concert for whole families, not only for adults. Because when I was young I didn't have the opportunity to go to a classical music concert. It was not part of my daily life. I want to make classical music concerts a part of our daily life, not a special event. Like the place people go at the weekend for fun. I'm not sure if it goes well or not. We'll see. Of course I made the ticket price very low. Including food, only 1,000 yen per adult so that people go to the concert with the same feeling as having lunch. Plus great classical music! YES!! I hope this will be a trigger for people in a small Japanese town to become interested in classical music.
MY OBOE CLASS FLYER IS READY!! ONLY IN JAPANESE THOUGH..
Hi! I updated my website. Now the site is much more detailed both for English and Japanese speakers. I also updated my oboe class information mainly for Japanese people. I designed flyers to advertise my oboe class and services and had them printed online. You can see the result in the photo. I already started to distribute them to acquaintances and music shops. I'm glad that I can start oboe teaching business again in Japan. It took one year and half since I came back to Japan from Canada...!!!
TAFELMUSIK BAROQUE SUMMER INSTITUTE
Hello! It's a really hot summer... Everywhere! Now, finally in peace, I'm writing this blog at my home in Japan. I traveled a lot this year. In particular I was in Toronto during June to participate in the "Tafelmusik Baroque Summer Institute 2019" for baroque oboe training.
I had never visited Toronto before so it was a great opportunity to stay there. The Summer Institute was a two weeks program. I met great teachers and participating musicians from all over the world. I learned a lot. I'm very motivated to pursue baroque oboe study. I want to use the experience and knowledge that I got over there.
We had several concerts during the summer institute. Such a wonderful experience!! Thank you for everyone who I met there and family who supported me!!
I'M BACK!!
Hi! I came back from Montreal last week. it was a busy but a great trip!! I met friends and teachers over there. My oboe teacher Lise Beauchamp gave me some good advice and introduced me to the baroque oboist Daniel Lanthier who is former her student. I took a lesson from my baroque oboe teacher Karim Nasr. He also motivated me a lot. Thank you everyone. I couldn't meet all the friends I wanted to see...next time! Anyway, my important friends there were all fine, having good life and music activity. I'm very happy for them. They made me food, gave me home made cake, we went out together!! I was so happy!! I was motivated a lot towards my music project!! I'll keep going!! One by one!!
